At CHAP Ministries, we take this command very seriously. Our CHAP Food Shelf services thousands of people every year. They are sent to us by the Dakota Country Community Action Council, First Call for Help, Economic Assistance, local shelters, and community churches. Many just walk in and share their need.

With government cutbacks, the number of people wanting help is on the rise. Your donations of non-perishable foods, meats that can be frozen, and paper products are greatly needed. Working together, we can make sure no one has to go hungry.

There are so many different ways you can help. Holding neighborhood or church food drives through our the year is one way. Purchasing and donating gift certificates from Cub or Rainbow is another way you can contribute.

If you are in the restaurant business, gift certificates for your establishment will help feed people in crisis situations. If you are in the food service business, donating products your company manufactures is tax deductible.

Cub Foods and Rainbow foods generously donate fresh breads, cakes, cookies, pies, and other bakery goods on a daily basis. Great Harvest Bread Company contributes their wonderful breads rolls, and cookies weekly. Everyone who comes into our store is welcome to help themselves.
